When did you start coming to CoreFit? August 2017

Why did you start coming to CoreFit? To learn how to complete a rope climb, monkey bar, rings, Z-wall, 8 ft. wall, tire flip, bucket carry, sandbag carry, spear throw etc., so I can participate successfully in Spartan races! Thank you Erica Norris and Brian Norris for introducing us to CoreFit and Spartan races J

Who is your greatest fitspiration and why? CoreFit trainers and members because each and every one in this tight-knit community has his or her own “stories” and physical fitness journeys that I can learn from. Hearing their stories inspire me to keep going, to challenge myself and to improve not just physically but mentally as well.

What is your next fitness goal? (1) To complete UFR and Spartan double trifecta in 2018; (2) to improve and to get more efficient with Spartan obstacles; (3) to improve and to get more efficient with my pull ups, cleans and snatches, T2Bs; and (3) to improve my endurance and speed with trail running and with running in general.

Favorite workout song? Whatever is on my iRun playlist: Top 40s, Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop, Classic Rock, Country (including a couple of Johnny Cash’s hitsJ)

When you are in the heat of the workout and feel like quitting, you think… that I’m not a quitter that I’m stronger than I think I am, and FOOD J

What has been your biggest accomplishment at CoreFit so far? Completing a Spartan Trifecta this year!

What is your biggest dietary weakness? Ice Cream, burger & fries and rice J

Favorite part about CoreFit? The awesome CoreFit trainers and members: For their encouragement, cheering you on to complete and finish the WODs.

If you could sit down to lunch with anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would you choose to have lunch with and why? My Dad, Valentin Peralta so we can catch-up, just to talk for hours. To look into his eyes and tell him that I’m okay and to say a proper goodbye.

How has coming to CoreFit influenced the rest of your life? I am physically stronger and not so easily intimidated by any obstacle (whether either a Spartan obstacle or whatever obstacle life in general has thrown at me).

What is a motto or saying that you live your life by? Changing the world through one act of kindness at a time.

What are your main hobbies outside of CoreFit? Spending time with my partner in crime, J.R. Long and our two dogs, Maya and HarveyJ; Chilling with family and friends.

Favorite workout/exercise? Least favorite? Favorite: Squats, lunges, bear crawls, shuttle runs. Least favorite: Wall balls, AirDyne, Double-unders

If you could have all the money in the world, how would you spend your days? Spending it with my family and friends and ask them to join me coordinate with helping people in the community who are needing assistance (financially or whatever assistance they may need) and to rescue all the neglected/abused animals.

Favorite Restaurant? P.F. Chang’s & Churchill’s Steakhouse

What has been your top memory at CoreFit to date? Seeing these awesome people and just being able to work out with them and right next to J.R. every time is a best memory.
