When did you start coming to CoreFit
When Kurt was at the Paulsen Building many moons ago. 
 
Why did you start coming to CoreFit
I was ready to get stronger and leaner. It was a treat to get to workout with Darren who I compete with (try to keep up with) on occasion and his brother was the trainer so I thought, family bonding time. 

Who is your greatest fitspiration and why? 
Tanis, Diane, and Mike because for one, they are crazy, along with dedicated, committed, and inspiring.They just keep adding more Spartan Races and I think they have 3 Beasts coming up back to back. They are all very busy people and they find time to do something that most people will never complete. 
There are many other people I admire at the gym too. So many great attitudes and people making such great body and nutrition transformations. 
 
What is your next fitness goal? 
Optimize my nutrition with intermittent fasting and Paleo/Whole 30 style eating, balance my work travel life with personal life, Lose the layer of fat that is covering up my stomach muscles. 😊
 
Favorite workout song? 
No favorite. I love Darren the DJ’s choices.  He is creative and gets us all motivated. 

When you are in the heat of the workout and feel like quitting, you think…
“What the hell am I doing?” and then I think “let’s go girl, this is only a brief moment in time compared to the rest of my life” Then before I know it, Im done and I feel great.
 
What has been your biggest accomplishment at CoreFit so far?
By doing mostly CoreFit workouts, it enabled me to be able to climb Mt. Adams because my endurance was great. Increasing running speed, distance and endurance. Feeling better and balanced. Being a part of CoreFit has encouraged and inspired me become more educated about my health and fitness, healthier cooking and more often, Ive learning so much about me and it has inspired me to be more creative. 
 
What is your biggest dietary weakness? 
Cheese hurts me but I love it. I used to be a big Fry gal and now they are not as important. I remember in my 20’s when I was my lightest- I ate gas station burritos and chocolate milk frequently (I was a skinny fat person). I have been known to dabble in a BBQ or bean and cheese burrito when no one is looking. Pizza is amazing once in a while. Pizza now has morphed into GF/DF. Also, chocolate, caramel, nut butter flavors. 
 
Favorite part about CoreFit?
People, people, people, family family family. I love the beautiful people I have met. So thankful. 

If you could sit down to lunch with anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would you choose to have lunch with and why?
Dead: Janis Joplin because I want to. Amelia Earhart cause she was a brave and courageous woman who wanted to fly around the world. Maybe she can help me cure my fear of flying. 
Living: Warren Buffet, he is a smart and successful business man, he realized the importance of giving back after his wife died. He lives by a different beat. Lastly, I would love to have lunch once a week with my mom, dad and Brother just to catch up.
 
How has coming to CoreFit influenced the rest of your life?
As I mentioned above. I am developing skills and knowledge about wellness that I never imagined. I am so excited about wellness now since I am encouraged to be well, I research all the time. Im inspired and I want others to be inspired about their health too. 
 
What is a motto or saying that you live your life by?
1. It always comes back this principle: The Golden Rule “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”
2. Know the “Why” behind a person and/or situation?
3. Things that I dislike most about others are usually my own faults that I don’t like. 

What are your main hobbies outside of CoreFit?
Cooking, researching, planning, writing, “to do” lists, house remodel (2.5 year project so far), family and giving back to society, breathing/balancing, art, just creating something with my own hands.
 
Favorite workout/exercise? Least favorite?
Favorite: Slam balls
Least: push-ups 
 
If you could have all the money in the world, how would you spend your days?
I would spend them with family and friends enjoy life to the fullest. I would be creating things and getting to act on all my ideas that I have been wanting to do. I would publish books. I would have grants and funding that people could apply for and I could award for acts of courage, being positive and inspirational, and mentorship. I would travel around the world and get to know people who need help but never ask and provide for them if they want me to. 

Favorite Restaurant?
Gilded Unicorn, Wild Sage, I love food so there are so many more places I love.
 
What has been your top memory at CoreFit to date?
1. Doing a Spartan race with Darren and seeing his pure drive to continue no matter what and then jumping over the fire with him.
2. Watching CoreFit members cheer each other on, encourage each other and physically help each other over obstacles. This last May when we were in Montana, I was moved by watching Tanis and her best friend Michelle at the end of the race getting over the inclined wall. I watched the looks on everyone’s face and people cheering them on, a random guy ran up the inclined wall to assist. I love to see people be successful and conquer the world because of the genuine support and encouragement they receive from friends and strangers. 
3. Watching Kasey and Randi on video encourage Anne to get through her last Spartan race. That was amazing and all the volunteers encouraging her on. So amazing to see.
