When did you start coming to CoreFit? I think I started in 2013 and then took a hiatus. The last time I started was January of 2015.
Why did you start coming to CoreFit? To feel stronger so that I can be more active.
Who is your greatest fitspiration and why? I want to be able to keep up with Mika in our old age together.
What is your next fitness goal? Increase flexibility and balance.
Favorite workout song? Miley Cyrus | We Can’t Stop
When you are in the heat of the workout and feel like quitting, you think… Don’t even worry, there’s only like 4 minutes left.
What has been your biggest accomplishment at CoreFit so far? That I’ve committed to consistently showing up and have stuck with it longer than any other program.
What is your biggest dietary weakness? Portion control. Whether it’s kale or potato chips, I will eat until the food is gone.
Favorite part about CoreFit? Tracking my progress and showing improvement in weight lifting.
If you could sit down to lunch with anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would you choose to have lunch with and why? Bill Murray. Because… Bill Murray.
How has coming to CoreFit influenced the rest of your life? It’s helped me to stay fit and active even when dealing with injuries or vacationing. It gives me way more energy and is a great break in the middle of an otherwise sedentary work day.
What is a motto or saying that you live your life by? Stop the spread of negativity, starting with your Facebook page.
What are your main hobbies outside of CoreFit? Hiking, sketching, traveling, reading graphic novels, wine tasting.
Favorite workout/exercise? Least favorite? My favorites are power cleans, boxing, and the bike. My least favorite is by far burpees
If you could have all the money in the world, how would you spend your days? Traveling to all the places and going to all the farmers’ markets. Probably hiking and biking in those places too.
Favorite Restaurant? Bacon & Eggs in Walla Walla.
What has been your top memory at CoreFit to date? That one time when Amy pushed me on my dead lift to go from 170 to 210. Now I’m at 225!
