When did you start coming to CoreFit? Feb 2015
Why did you start coming to CoreFit? Had been curious about cross-fit for a while. Wanted a workout plan and to be pushed. Wanted to make new friends to work out with. Have come to see that this is more than a “place to workout”, it’s a community of likeminded fitness freaks that want to be strong and healthy 🙂
Who is your greatest fitspiration and why? There are so many athletes that I admire. some famous, some not so famous. The first person that came to mind is a lady I don’t know. It was several years ago, when I was on the 8th grade track team. we were at the track one day before practice and I noticed an “old lady” with white hair, slowly jogging around the track by herself. Some of my classmates giggled and pointed at this oddity (back then, people weren’t out running like today, especially older ladies). I however, went home and told my mom about this cool old lady. I thought is was great. That would be me some day! And here I am at Corefit!
What is your next fitness goal? Complete a sprint Spartan race this year.
Favorite workout song? Can’t think of one…anything I can dance to.
When you are in the heat of the workout and feel like quitting, you think…“I can’t do this…no…just keep moving…focus on the task, not how I feel”
What has been your biggest accomplishment at CoreFit so far? sticking with this through various health issues. However I got really excited when I finally figured out how to do the rope climb!
What is your biggest dietary weakness? SUGAR AND CARBS (grains)
Favorite part about CoreFit? I love how corefit pushes me and doesn’t judge. Just encourages to improve from wherever i am on the fitness spectrum. Also the idea that I am stronger than I think I am.
If you could sit down to lunch with anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would you choose to have lunch with and why? Would love to meet Jesus himself! I want to ” hear it from the horses mouth”
How has coming to CoreFit influenced the rest of your life? Corefit has influenced how I look at my health and my life. From nutrition to self confidence. Gives me strength physically and mentally to do more than I think I can.
What is a motto or saying that you live your life by? “keep moving…and keep doing the next right thing”
What are your main hobbies outside of CoreFit? Pets, home improvement projects (and accompanying frustration), gardening, shopping at Costco and Amazon.
Favorite workout/exercise? Least favorite? mountain biking! Followed closely by cyclocross and road biking
If you could had all the money in the world, how would you spend your days? If I had all the money in the world, I’d give most of it away to help people and animals. my time would be spent volunteering in service organizations with lots biking, core fit, camping, skiing and in between. Definitely would have a large garden to grow my own food!!
Favorite Restaurant? I don’t dine out much to save $. I know there are lots of good ones out there!
What has been your top memory at CoreFit to date? how painful the first 2 weeks were for me! That is why I don’t want to stop! I love being fit and always want to improve. The people here are extraordinary…Coaches and members. Positive environment, friendly, challenging and supportive.
